Do you remember the last time,
you wondered where I've been?
Do you remember the last time
you called me just a friend?

Do you remember waiting
by my locker before school?
Or that time we jumped the fence,
thinking we were cool?

Do remember asking,
if I would be alright?
Do you remember calling,
in the middle of the night?

That time we saw a movie,
and then went out to eat?
Or how we held each other's gaze,
and my heart skipped a beat?

Do you remember talking,
just to see me smile?
Or getting lost on purpose,
so we could stay a while?

All the times you made me laugh,
with just a simple look.
And how I went out of my way,
to read your favorite book.

Do you remember saying,
I'd always have your trust?
Do you remember anything?
Surely now you must.

That one time I held your hand,
when we were at the dance?
Or riding on the ferris wheel,
and giving up that chance?

Tell me it was something more,
then just a waste of time.
Tell me there was something there.
That I could make you mine.

But I lost your attention,
your interest disappeared.
And though I hate to say it,
this is everything I feared.

Do you still remember,
everything we had?
The memories we created,
through good times and through bad?

Every time I close my eyes,
I feel you in my heart.
And even though you're standing here,
I feel we're far apart.

Tell me you remember,
the first time that we met.
Promise you'll remember,
and you never will forget.

I find that some of the best things I write are when I'm totally wasted. Actually, I don't really like this one, it's sappy as hell.

There is no greater pain than to remember, in our present grief, past happiness

I will not go slowly to my grave. I’m going full throttle, skidding in sideways with a beer in one hand and a hot chick in the other screaming, “SWEET BABY JESUS, WHAT A RIDE!”
